Project Requirements:

The project is framed around the overarching theme “Healthy Cities” and is designed to provide students opportunities to think critically and creatively about ongoing challenges cities face through experiences in the classroom, in research, and in experiential learning opportunities. The semester project concludes with a

student pitch event and the Design Entrepreneur Showcase exhibition.

Who we are:

Malar is an organization that helps lift middle age women who are dealing with multiple stressors, mental health problems, and loneliness. We strive to create a space that empowers these women through mentorship, community, and skill development. Our space holds two main components; mentorship and skill development. Through the website and web application, users can connect with women outside of the space and find out about future events. Bloom, our membership program, offers petals which are meant to write and exchange positive comments and thoughts. These petals are collected and built into a flower to symbolize that small petals of kindness can bloom into a bigger flower.
